Oh, wait I thought Wontons are the same as dumplings??? lol

In that case, please do share teh wonton recipes too. :)

haha...must be all southerners replying to the dumpling thread, cuz i only know wonton too :P and it's pretty much the same as the others

It's only for the two of you right?

1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, de-vein, cut into little pieces
1 egg
6 water chestnuts diced into little pieces
little bit of salt
little bit of sugar
little bit of white pepper
1 tbsp of sesame oil
do not add soy sauce
1/3 cup of scallions, chopped
I like to add a little bit of 木耳 sliced really thin
mix it in a bowl and then wrap in dumpling skin
boil until it floats to the top

If you're not sure how it taste, just make one dumpling, boil it, and take a bite. You'll know what flavoring you need to add.

I've only made wonton which are a lot like dumplings. Ground pork, scallions, peeled shrimp cut into small bits. Can add chopped dried mushrooms and whatever else (corn too!). Combine w/ salt and corn starch. Wrap with the wraps. Boil to cook.
