Help with laptop mic

Anyone have a laptop with a mic built in??? I need some help.

Since I got my laptop I haven't been doing much with it at all. But since my class requires for me to do a podcast, I'm in need of using the mic finaly. But the problem is, it's not picking up as loudly as I'm talking into it. It's really soft. I went into properties and tried to adjust the audio volume, it's not moving. It wont move in fact. I have to adjust my volume, to max to hear my self recorded message.

Please tell me theres a way to fix it. Anyone???

Yeah it's offical, I don't know how to use my laptop features..haha eh..

The red as you see on the picture, it fluctuates to voice sound, although if no one is talking, it'll still fluctuate anyways???

I thought I could adjust that, but apparently I can't. I have the volume up as high as possible it's still very low when I play it. I maxed my laptops speakers in order for me to even hear the recorded message. It's kinda ridiculas, but I think that's all I can do. Maybe personally buy a mic, but uh...just for one usage...it's a little much..
