So I called up R last night to see when we can see each other today so I can give him a calculator for his final exam.

After we spoke about that, I turned to inactive listening. You know, where you just go, "yes, ya huh, yeah...that's interesting" and not mean a darn thing of what you said. He was talking about the sales of game consoles compared to the Wii. (Hey, least I KNEW what he was talking about) I tried to to listen but I was preoccupied by e-mail my teacher that I'm a TA for. But that wasn't interesting or important to either one of us anyways.

And I thought girls never did that and it was just guys.

You guys ever do inactive listening to your family/friends/spouses/bf/gfs? What subjects???

I once fell asleep while a friend was telling me a story when I was 14 and I remember that story to this day. Odd. I think "inactive listening" sounds like the PC word for "ignoring." :)

yep, I don't mean to be an inactive listener but sometimes I just get absorbed in my own thoughts and tune out.

Gary, you want the truth? Here's the truth, I don't tell guys to buy me anything while I'm on my period. I don't talk to him about my periods or anything that envolves blood. Geez, even buying tampons or whatever is embarassing for me when I have to buy them. lol...there..you happy?
