Is there something wrong?

You guys ever get random people staring at you guys for no apparent reason. I mean it's not the normal stare that usually lasts less than a minute. I'm talking about a full blown more then 1 or 2 minutes. And you look back at them, still staring at you. Not smiling, but just looking at you like you have something on your face or something. (not checking you out either)
I don't know, do you guys find that to be rude or is that just me? When people stare at me and I notice, I have to always look back towards them and be polite and smile. But they don't smile back. What's with the whole stare? They don't stop staring either. Their eyes follow you wherever you go. Creepy in a way. *cringe*
I don't get the stare just from guys. Heck, I wish more guys would stare at me just to get my attention and smile towards me.
But it's mostly girls who do this with me. It's like they're dogging me?
Is there something going on here? Are they trying to send me mental messages or something through staring at me???
I must really be living under a rock. I don't know. But I don't like the whole stare thing. Is it a competition that I'm not aware of?
As a child, I've learned that staring is "rude" and shouldn't be done. If there's something on a persons' face, politely point it out to them to prevent future embarassment for them. It's called manners. People these days don't teach them or use them anymore?
I've never stared at a person for too long. Mostly less then 10 seconds. If I'm interested in what they're wearing, and they look at me, I'd smile and say something to be polite or just smile with admiration. Otherwise I see no point in staring too long.
