So it's time for me to stop being a T/A. I'm sorta uh..need the more skilled experience compared to just grading papers.
I'm not really close to even understanding how to go about it. I just know to make a bunch load of my resumes, and put them in a portfolio, look around for places that I'm interested in and ask if they are hiring any interns or not and drop off a portfolio.
I'm pretty sure I know what to expect for an interview, I'm deadly honest and honestly I don't believe I've ever lied in person.
Clothing: have it all down already. hmmm thinking fast on my feet uh...I'm still new, is it okay to pause and think? I know we need to do reseach on the job we're applying for but for intern accountants, do we really need to? I mean dude you're there for the experience and possibly an offered job to stay on with them. I know for experienced people you need to look up the ave pay for a position you're entering into in that specific region therefore you can bargain your salary..but uh..I doubt it'll be useful for me.
But okay, research on the business you're applying for a job position with?
Geez CSUF makes it hard on me to get the position they have online, gotta fill out I don't know how many forms? It's kinda ridiculas but hey if it gets me the job right? Well I came back to Fresno today for the entire week in search for an intern position, and the office is closed...guess what..pretty much every place is closed! lol So next week...geez...I swear I couldn't have come at a worser time. Least I get to spend the New Years with my babe.
Oh wells, wish me luck on finding an internship!
