    As a female it's really odd. But honestly I prefer swords or daggers or any other weaponary that catches my eye over jewelery.

    I remember for my SF trip to visit my uncle, they gave me a nice little butterfly necklace. I just looked at it and I was like, "oh, what am I suppose to do with it?" lol..haha No matter how shiney or nice looking it was, I was like "oh". I was forced to put on a smile just to be nice.

    Although if I was to be really happy I'd have to have something nicely shiney and sharp (including in my style).

    Honestly I barely have any jewelery really. Just a mood ring, and 3 necklaces. 1 as mentioned above, second one I like, but not so much. It's the chinese character of my zodiac year, Rat. Then the next one which I like the most. It's a tribal necklace, looks so much like my Sword of Darkness II which I'm dying to get my hands on.

    Am I a weapons freak??? hehehe Does this scare you?? lol

    So my question, what kind of style of jewelery do you guys/girls like/love/prefer???

    i don't think u're odd... u have ur follow ur own style which is good~

    i have a lot of accessories (meaning cheap but cute necklaces and earrings and bracelets from HK / Japan), but few jewelries.. The ones i count as jewelries include platinum / diamond / silver necklaces / bracelets / earrings, and my engagement ring.. almost all from Tiffany, just so it's easier for ppl to pick out gifts for me.. also a crystal bracelet from Swarovski...

    um.. i believe that a WOMAN's jewelries gotta  be given by someone else.. but that's just me, and i just feel old and womanly... argg...    =P

    Thanks Peachey for the analysis. I heard platinum can scratch really easily. Man I didn't think they'd be heavy. That's interesting. I'm going to have to check them out for future reference.

    i never really checked out any weapons, but i went to shooting ranch before to play with guns... i should say practice not play LOL.  
    and for jewelery.... i like different kinds of earrings... and i have alot at home!

    hee pongza, maybe your bf can try to balance the proposal ring at the tip of your fav sword :p

    not sure wat is good for ring, white gold is a common choice. I like rose gold, something unique, altho my wedding band was just gold with diamante.

    I'm not much a jewelry person either... I wear earrings... (just 1 piercing per ear), 2 bracelets on the right hand, and a watch... no rings or necklace... can't wear too much jewelry b/c it's not safe when bowling and something flys off... yikes... =) but I gotta have the watch... of all things...

    Platinum is durable and the IT metal for rings. They're heavy for men's bands though. I've tried a bunch (when we were shopping for Mr. P's new bands). For some reason, jewelers recommend platinum posts for holding in the big diamond/jewel on engagement rings. Guess they're strong.

    White gold is my favorite. Yellow gold no longer excites me.

    I had this custom platinum band for the right hand made for myself. Had little round diamonds sprinkled around it. It's very similar to my new wedding band. I never wear it bc it's so gosh-darn heavy. What a waste of $2000. Ah, well, I had money to burn back then.

    So when you're all better, it's back to crime-fighting, isn't it? Like Elektra. Watch out!!

    My guy friends brought my attention to a BudK mag. They've actually been collecting for a while, they gave me all out passes to a lethal me...hahaha

    I was thinking if a guy was to propose to me, what will he need to propose to me with. A ring or a sword?? hahaha I feel sorry for him..haha

    But then which is best for a ring, white gold, gold, platinum, silver???

    You're not a freak. You just collect something that would be considered unconventional. But it's not like you use them to fight crime in the middle of the night, right?

    I wear a medium-amount of jewelry. No bracelets and sometimes a watch but a watch isn't necessary anymore bc of my cellphone. Just a ring or two on my L and R right fingers. And earrings and a necklace. Sounds like a lot but they're all quite small pieces. I don't wear fake stuff unless I'm traveling - I remove my real stuff and wear fake stuff.

    I have a bunch but never wear it.  Now I wear jewelry my hubby gave me for sentimental value and that's all I wear everyday, the same ones.

    but i do like to admire swords/daggers, as well as jewellery :) When i was younger, i was thinking admiring jewellery is for older women, maybe i have matured haha

    Um...what's with the love for weapons? The only weapon I have is a tiny sabre that I won in a turtle racing contest at the Renaissance Faire. I picked the quickest turtle.

    As for jewelry... I like it detailed and simple.
