crazy drivers!!

this morning, close to 9am, as I was sitting in my room checking my email and I hear a loud BANG! it scared the crap outta me... so I slowly go to my window and look outside... car accident... the driver hit a parked car... the hit was so hard that I think her airbag popped out and she couldn't open her driver door, so she came out from the passenger side... then I started to see some smoke... err... not a good sign...  one of my neighbors went over to see how that lady was doing... she was okay... then finally I think the owner of the parked car came out from her house... I can kinda tell that she might be a new driver b/c she was walking in and outta the house getting stuff and trying to find out what she needed to do...

then me being nosy and all... went over to my mom's room to get a better look at the accident... and it was a bad one... the parked car was moved up to the sidewalk... the car was parked parallel to the sidewalk and now half the car was on the sidewalk... and then taking a closer look... the driver also hit the truck that was parked in front of other car... the truck was also slightly pushed up on the sidewalk... pretty darn crazy... when they finally towed the car away, I saw the damages... the driver's car is pretty bad too... the front driver wheel is all bent outta shape... can't imagine what the parked car's driver side looks like... probably need major work too b/c it hit right into the driver's door area...

this reminded me of another time... probably 5+ years ago... on a sunny afternoon... maybe during the summer b/c I was actually home... same thing as today... heard a loud BANG! I thought I heard it from the front of the house so I go there to look first... saw nothing... so I thought it was somewhere else... then I go into my mom's room and I see this crazy driver who crashed into our backyard... his car got stuck in between our backyard and the light-pole... so he went crazy trying to get out of his mess... he's reversing the car, hits the light pole, goes back into drive and hits our backyard again... back and forth for like a good minute or two... then he finally got out and drove off... I was FREAKED OUT!!!  didn't know what to do... called my mom... (luckily the neighbors around helped and called the police) by the time my mom got home from work, the police came... so I had to tell them what I saw and heard... hours later they caught the guy...

there was another rainy night when another car crashed into the mini-van we used to have... bent out the driver side wheel... that ended that van... still remember that night when I watched my mom from the window standing in the rain telling the police what happened...

we live on a corner house, so all these crashes is on the "main street" on the side... it's crazy how drivers speed thru the street like it's a highway... whenever I hear a loud BANG! I get scared...
