  • Interview Time!!!

    YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     

    Okay I'm nervously happy right now cuz I just got off the phone with my perspective boss!!!

    Tomorrow at 3pm. YIKES!!! Time to get home to Ry for some mock interviewing help.

    So I'm in need of interviewing tips! Any would be fabulous!

     

    I've got the dress part down! Now, I'm a pretty nervous little lady. I'm not sure exactly what to say, I'd always have to think about it for a moment before I answer or I will stutter! And I know that's not pretty. I do that from time to time during presentations. Haha...But hey I know my stuff.

     

    Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    I agree with Peachey. You should take some time to think before you answer questions. Avoid using phrases like "like" or "you know." Be ready to answer the "tell me a little about yourself" and "describe a situation" questions. Always look at your prospective boss in the eye when you are talking. Smile. Be prepare to ask questions about the company, future coworkers, work environment, and room for growth. They want you to ask questions. Shows you're taking the interview seriously.

    How to impress the prospective boss. I think taking a little time before answering questions is a good thing. Makes you look contemplative when you don't jump out with an answer. Breathe slowly to calm the nerves. Look at them when you speak. I don't like looking at eyes so maybe at their eyebrows. heehee. If there's silence, don't try to fill it by jabbering. Good luck!

    Be confident and offer a good firm handshake.  Concentrate on the positive and avoid anything negative when answering questions. Good luck girl! Let us know how it goes.

    that's awesome!!!! =D I think stopping to think before answering a question is good...

    OH! what I learned is that when they ask you, "so, do you have any questions for me?" think of a question to ask... it's tough, but I've learned that it is very important that you ask questions too. =)

    Good Luck on the interview tomorrow!!! =)
