Have you noticed some of the member names here range from clever to cute, from enigmatic to unoriginal? I do wonder sometimes how some of these 'handles' originated.

Care to share how you came up with your AnD moniker? And I'm pretty certain some of you use the same handle across many sites.

How did I come up with Peachey? I'm not sure. Maybe from a character from a book - W. Peachtree. Or from a character in my Chinese name, which actually is closer to pear but I was probably confused at the moment I punched in those 7 letters upon signing-up to AnD. Peachey had almost nothing to do with the term 'peachy-keen' or its shortened version, 'peachy' but it's a pretty good adjective to describe me.

I guess mine evolved from "Cass Ass", which is what my friends joked around and called me in middle school.

uh... this was my username on asianavenue or some other site 10 years ago when i was in high school!
if i had known at the time i joined AnD that i'd be THIS active, i would've definitely chosen another name!!! but... oh well. =/

My grandparents once gave me a clock with my name on it except it was misspelled (they don't speak English). I think it said "Jeshikah" or something. When I started using the internet and found that the username Jessica was taken on all sites, I decided to use Jesskah as inspired by my grandparents

i love admiring clouds and skies, and stars...guess maybe im an Air sign, Libran...tot Cloudz is cute, 7 is God's number and hence my favourite number as well. Well, tot my other half will be my "Sky". Incidentally Mr Clouds' email last time was eightclouds....how matching :P

Mine is easy....Elena is my first name (funny b/c it's Spanish and I have no Hispanic heritage at all), and I'm a Hapa's Mama b/c my son is half Korean. Hapa can be anyone half Asian. I chose Hapa's Mama because though I'm not Asian, I want to support the AA community and instill pride in my son.

BTW enjoy FTG this weekend! It is great.....

shorty's my nickname. A friend gave it to me back in my first year at high school, but no one actually uses it. I only used it on MySpace so you guys would know who I was, I don't use it anywhere else.

Ren Ren is a nick name. When I first signed up I used my full name but since I found out that my blog came up on google search because of that I changed it.

I watched the movie "Serendipity" and had always liked the meaning behind the word "the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely". But I chose my handle randomly when I signed up at AnD, the word just popped into my head. It's a slight deviation from the original word substituting an "i" for the "e".

lol...When I first saw peachey, I thought of peachey-keen, I always liked that phrase.

When I signed up, my mind went blank and I ended up signing dragontattoo, because it's what I want on my skin, but I kind of regret the choice of name now!

Lau Tin-Lun is my name in Cantonese. hence, my AnD alias: tinlunlau.

Oh I think mine is pretty obvious. My script, one of the characters is named Pongza...but ya...I came up with it by mixing names together...Oddly how I used Pong and got a Za out..haha

my chinese name is Yen Sie... some indian frens of mine can't pronounce it correctly and ended up calling me Nancy...... Nancy just not my style.... so i used YenC..... short and unique. =)
